Hi, Everyone!!! Guess what, I just turned two!!! Yahoo!!!
Thank you for visiting my website, I was born on July 5th, 2001. I have a very rare immunodeficiency disorder known as Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome. It effects only 3 in every 1,000,000 male infants worldwide. I received a stem cell transplant in August of 2002 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan. I was treated there because they perform lots of transplants and do a great job. My website contains information about my syndrome, as well as updates on my progress, pictures, and more...

Well, it's been quite a journey this year. As you all know, I came home from NYC in late January. It was a difficult transition and I had a tough time for a few months. I did start to feel better in late March and April. Unfortunately, in early May, I had to go back to Memorial Sloan-Kettering in New York because my immune sysytem needed some help. We were there until the end of July and know I'm home again!!! Yippee!!!

Even though I had to go back to NYC, lots of good things have been happening. I got my very own dog!!! Her name is Riley and she's the best dog ever!!! We take her for long walks in the woods and she runs all over the place, she love to go in the water and swim too!!! I love my Riley.

In July, I turned two!!! Mom and Dad threw a big birthay bash for me down in New York at the Ronald McDonald House. All the other kids came to my party. We had cake, ice cream, and pizza, and I got lots of presents!!! I was a little tired, so I had to leave early and take a nap, but I know everyone had a great time!!! When I got home, I had a second birthday party at my Gram's house, it was a lot of fun too, and I didn't have to nap during that party!!!

In August, we went on our first vacation since I was two months old!!! We went to my Papa's house on Cape Cod. I've become a great swimmer. Everday we were there, I'd head down to the ocean and paddle away!!! Mom could barely keep up with me!!! I think I'll ask Santa Claus for a surfboard, so next year I can really have fun!!!

So, I bet you're all wondering what I do now that I'm home. Well, as I said, we walk Riley everyday, I go shopping with Mom, visit my Gram, play with my toys, Jay Jay the Jet Plane is my favorite right now, and keep my Mom and Dad very busy. I love pizza, Eggos, donuts, and apple juice!!! Every couple of weeks I go back to New York for a treatment, and so far, everything is going great. Did I mention I'm a frequent flyer now? Yup, that's me, Captain Wil!!!

Well, thanks for checking in, send me an email if you get a chance!!! Thanks for all the cards and prayers, keep it up!!! I need all the help I can get!!! If you happen to be in the water and see something go speeding by, don't worry, it just me!!! Splish splash!!!
It's very important for people to donate blood so that sick kids like me can get better. Blood has many different components that can cure many illnesses. You can help by donating blood platelets to see if you can become a bone marrow donor. Just go to Children's Hospital, located at 300 Longwood Avenue in Boston, and tell them you would like to be HLA typed so you can become a member of the National Bone Marrow Registry. It's just like giving blood and they'll pay for your parking at the Children's Hospital Garage! Their phone number is (617)-355-6677. There's a link below for directions. Thanks for coming to my website, stop
by every once in a while for new pictures and updates!!!
